BACKGROUND
Pricing was obtained through the State of Texas Department of Information (DIR). DIR
provides cities and political subdivisions with the means to purchase information technology at

The Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) requires all network equipment to be within
the vendor's supported hardware and software life span if any of the computers on that network
equipment access criminal information. A recent audit extended this requirement to all
computers running RMS (Records Management System). To meet this requirement there are
six network routers and eleven switches that are at end of life and need to be replaced.
Total project cost for the six routers will be $97,082.86
