HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 19-179RESOLUTION NO. 19-179 WHEREAS, bids were received for a six (6) month contract, with two (2) additional options to renew for six (6) month terms at the same pricing as the awarded contract, for the supply of All Season Pre -coated Patching Mixture (ASPPM) for use by the Streets and Drainage Division for the patching of asphalt potholes; and, WHEREAS, Waller County Asphalt Company, Inc., of Hempstead, Texas, submitted a complete responsive bid as shown on Exhibit "A," attached hereto, for a total estimated amount of $128,352.00, respectively; and, WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Waller County Asphalt Company, Inc. should be accepted, respectively; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby, in all things, approved and adopted; and, THAT the bid submitted by Waller County Asphalt Company, Inc., of Hempstead, Texas, for a six (6) month contract, with an option of two (2) renewals of six (6) month terms at the same pricing as the awarded contract, to supply All Season Pre -coated Patching Mixture (ASPPM) for -use by the Streets and Drainage Division for the patching of asphalt potholes as shown on Exhibit "A," attached hereto, for a total estimated amount of $128,352.00, respectively, be accepted by the City of Beaumont; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Waller County Asphalt Company, Inc., for the purposes described herein. The meeting at which, this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in strict compliance with the.Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 551.
