HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 76 284WHEREAS, Charles Revia, Rt. 3, Box 12, Beaumont, Texas, as required by statute, has exercised, his equitable right to redeem the property hereinafter described that was acquired by the City of Beaumont at a tax foreclosure sale held by the Sheriff of Jefferson County on. September 2, 1975; and WHEREAS, in accordance with law, Charles Revia has paid. the City of Beaumont the sum of THREE HUNDRED FORTY-EIGHT AND 53/100 ($.348.53) DOLLARS to redeem the .hereinafte.r described property, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT. RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS: That the Mayor be and he is_hereby authorized for and on behalf of the City of Beaumont to execute. a Quitclaim Deed from the City of Beaumont to Charles Revia fore the sum of THREE HUNDRED FORTY-EIGHT AND 53/100 ($3480 53) DOLLARS quitclaiming all its right, title and interest in and to that certain tract or parcel of land lying and situated in the .County of Jefferson, State of Texas, and being more particularly described as follows; to -wit: A part of the D. Easley Survey, in Jefferson County, Texas, and described as being..a part of that certain 5 acres of land conveyed by R.. Redmayne and wife, Thelma, Redmayne, to A. Husers under - date of March 17 "J.93'which deed is' -recorded in Vol. 426, page 413, of the Deed Records of, Jefferson County, Texas, to which deed and its record reference is hereby made, This land constitutes a past of the land conveyed by'A:. Husers and wife., Effie Mae Husers, to the grantors herein,. Ernest Revia.and wife, Josephine Revia, which deed is recorded- in the Deed Records of Jefferson County, Texas, and said 1/4th acre, more or less, herein conveyed, being described by metes and bounds a's follows: BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of said property previously conveyed by A. Property presently known as 8150 Broussard Road. FURTHER described on the Tax Rolls of the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, as Tract 262, Plat RS -5, of the D. EASLEY SURVEY. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that it is hereby officially found and de- termined that the meeting at which this resolution is passed is open to the public as required by law and that public notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting was given as required by Chapter 227, Acts of the 61st Legislature, Regular Session, 19690 PASSED AND APPROVED this _ day of Actal 1976.
