WHEREAS, bids were received for the furnishing of various
pieces of fleet equipment for the Fleet Department; and,
WHEREAS, Kinsel Ford, Inc. submitted a bid in the amount of
Thirty Thousand Three Hundred Ninety -Three and 41/100 ($30,393.41)
Dollars, GMC Dixie Trucks, Inc. submitted a bid in the amount of Six
Thousand Six Hundred Thirty -Three and No/100 ($6,633.00) Dollars,
and Tidelands International, Inc. submitted a bid in the amount of
One Hundred One Thousand Two Hundred Forty -One and 40/100 ($101,241.40)
Dollars for the following pieces'of fleet equipment for the Fleet De-
partment:
KINSEL FORD, INC.
One 2 -Ton Stake Body Truck
Cab & Chassis for Front Loader
GMC DIXIE TRUCKS, INC.
Cab & Chassis for Trash Trailer
TIDELANDS INTERNATIONAL, INC.
Two Bob -Tail Trash Trucks
Cab & Chassis for Rear Loader
and,

WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids sub-
mitted by Kinsel Ford, Inc., GMC Dixie Trucks, Inc. and Tidelands In-
ternational, Inc. are the lowest and best bids in their respective
fields and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids of Kinsel Ford, Inc. in the amount of $30,393.41, of
GMC Dixie Trucks', Inc. in the amount of $6,633.00, and of Tidelands
International, Inc. in the -amount of $101,241.40, be accepted by the
City of Beaumont, and the appropriate City official is hereby autho-
