Home My WebLink AboutRES 75 420te- 7S- Y/ ?o RE S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, bids were received for the furnishing of 4,000 water meters for the Water Department; and, WHEREAS, Carlon Meter Sales Company submitted a bid,in the approximate amount of Ninety Thousand Three Hundred Five and 16/100 ($90-,305.16). Dollars for the 5/8" and 1" water meters; and, WHEREAS, the bids submitted on the 1-1/2" and 2" water meters did not meet.the specifications required by the City, and should therefor be readvertised; and, WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Carlon Meter Sales Company for the 5/8" and 1" water meters is the lowest and best bid and should be accepted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: THAT the bid of Carlon Meter Sales Company for the 5/8" and 1" water meters in .the approximate amount.of:$90,305.16 be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the appropriate City official is hereby authorized to make payment for said water meters upon acceptable delivery; and that the bids for the. 1-1/2" and 2" water meters is hereby -rejected and authorized for readvertising.
