WHEREAS, bids were received for the furnishing of electrical
materials for the trailer area of Fair Park for the Parks and Recrea-
tion Department; and,
WHEREAS, the following bids were submitted:
Port Electrical Distributing Company.
Items 3 & 11
Consolidated Electrical Distributors; Inc.
Items 1 & 4
Westinghouse Electric -Supply Company
Items 2, 6, 9, 13, 14 & 17
General Electric Supply Company,
Items 5, 7; 8, 10, 15, 16, 18, 19., 20 & 21
Marine & Industrial Electric Supply Company, Inc.
Item 12
and,
$. 386.83

TOTAL =$6,600.78
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bids sub-
mitted by the above-mentioned companies are the best bids and should
be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE,, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bidsof Port Electrical Distributing Company, Consolidated Elec-
trical Distributors, Inc., Westinghouse Electric Supply Company, General
Electric Supply Company and Marine & Industrial Electric Supply'Company,
Inc. in the above-mentioned amounts be accepted by the City of Beaumont,
and the appropriate City official is hereby authorized to'make payment
forsaid electrical materials upon acceptable delivery.
