WHEREAS, bids were received for the furnishing of bell joint
clamps for the Water Distribution Department; and,
WHEREAS, Dresser Industries submitted a bid in the amount of
the following for the bell joint clamps for the Water Distribution
Department:

at $.20.94 each =
$ 628.50
30 8"
clamps
at $ 28.82 each =
$ 804.60
12 12"
clamps
at $ 36.48 each =
$' -437.'76
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid sub-
mitted by Dresser Industries is the lowest and best bid and should be
accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid of.Dresser Industries in the total amount of $1,870.56
be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the appropriate City Official
is hereby authorized to make payment for said bell joint clamps upon
acceptable delivery.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the
