WHEREAS, at an election on October 1, 1974, the voters of the
City of Beaumont approved the sale of bonds for construction of public
improvements within the City, the program being known as the Citizens
Activities Program; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the appointment of
architects for the buildings to be constructed under said program; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appoint said architects and
further desires that contracts with said. architects be postponed until
such time as budgets for the projects can be adequately developed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the firm of Steinman, Gordy $ Huffhines is appointed as architects
for the Municipal Office Building; that the firm of Pitts, Phelps & White
is appointed as architects for the Civic Center; that Rex Goode and Mil-
ton Bell are appointed as architects for the remodeling of City Audito-
rium; and that the firm of'Gruen Associates is appointed as associate
architects on the Municipal Office Building, Civic Center, and City Hall
remodeling projects.
