R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont and Sabine Consolidated, Inc. en-
tered into a certain agreement to furnish all labor, superintendence,
material and equipment to perform all work necessary to the construction
of CIP Project 13-WU-06, which is Contract III of the Washington-Calder-
Dowlen Mains Project of the water utilities improvements; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 to said contract has been proposed,
under which change order the net effect would be an additional expendi-
ture of $1,044.37, for a total revised contract amount of $286,481.37,
which amount of $1,044.37 is available within the CIP construction bud-
get; the reason for said change being to -provide clearance between the
storm sewer and sixteen (16") inch water main on the east side of Plaza
Drive; and,
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has inspected the work of CIP Project
13-WU-06 in its entirety and has recommended its acceptance and final
payment in the amount of $29,138.45 to be made to the contractor based
upon actual work performed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute the
above-described change order to the original contract, and that the City
of Beaumont hereby accepts the completion of the aforesaid contract in
all particulars and does further authorize the final payment of $29,138.45
to the said contractor.
