WHEREAS, bids were received for the furnishing of one 21,000
G.V.W. Cab and Chassis for Water Pressure Sewer Cleaner, two 35,0.00
to 38,000 G.V.W. Diesel Cab Chassis Trucks -for the Front End Loader
Bodies, one 24,000 G.V.W. Bob Tail Trash Truck, five 32',000 G.V.W.
Diesel Cab Chassis for Rear Loaders, one Cab Chassis for Trash
Trailer 20,000 G.V.W., and for,one Cab Chassis 30,000 G.V.W. for
Winch Truck, the first item for the Street Department and the rest
for the Solid Waste Department; and,
WHEREAS, International Harvester Company submitted a bid in
the amount of $4,490.00 for the 21,000 G.V.W. Cab and Chassis for
Water Pressure Sewer Cleaner, $27,570.56 for the two 35,000 to 38,000
G.V.W. Diesel Cab Chassis Trucks for the Front End Loader Bodies,
$8,100.00 for the one 24,000 G.V.W. Bob Tail Trash Truck, $58,450.00
for the five 323,000 G.V.W. Diesel Cab Chassis for Rear Loaders,
$4,733.00 for one Cab Chassis for Trash Trailer 20,000 G.V.W., and
$11,721.00 for the one Cab Chassis 30;000 G.V.W. for Winch Truck,
the first item being -for the Street Department and the rest for the
Solid Waste Department; and,
WHEREAS,'the City Council is of the opinion that the bids sub-
mitted by International Harvester Company are the lowest and best
bids and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids of International Harvester Company in the amounts of
$4,490.00, $27,570.56, $8,100.00, $58,450.00, $4,733.00, and $11,721.00,
respectively, be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and the appropriate
City Official is hereby authorized to make payment for said equipment
upon acceptable delivery and/or installation.
