R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, certain citizens of the unincorporated City
of Rose City, Texas, a city lying within the extraterritorial
jurisdiction of the City of Beaumont, Texas, have asked the
City of Beaumont, Texas, through its governing body, to give
their written consent to allow the City of Rose City, Texas,
to incorporate into the City of Rose City, Texas, under the
general laws of the State of Texas, that certain area described
in Exhibit "AF1 attached hereto; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Beaumont,
Texas, has no objection to granting its consent to the
citizens of the unincorporated City of Rose City, Texas, for
incorporation under the general laws of the State of Texas
so long as said incorporation is initiated within six months
of the date of said authorization and such incorporation is
finally completed within eighteen months of the date of such
authorization as required by Article 970a, Section 8(C), of
Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That in accordance with Article 970a, Section 8, of Vernon's
Annotated Civil Statutes, the City Council of the City of
Beaumont, Texas, hereby consents to allow the citizens of
the unincorporated City of Rose City, Texas, to incorporate
under the general laws of the State of Texas that certain
area described in Exhibit POA" attached hereto, so long as
said incorporation proceedings are initiated within six
months of this authorization and said incorporation is finally
completed within eighteen months of the date of this
authorization, all as provided in Article 970a, Section
8(C), of Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes.

Beginning at the Southeast corner of the M. 1. Brake Survey (A-35)
same being the Southwest corner of Wm. Chisholm Survey (A-37) and the
most Southwesterly corner of the City of Vidor Corporate Limits;
Thence, Northerly along and with the Corporate City Limits of the City
of Vidor to an intersection of said City Limits with the center line of Tiger
Creek, a point for corner;
Thence, Northerly along and with the center line of Tiger Creek, crossing
Kansas City Southern Railway and continuing along and with Tiger Creek to
the intersection of Tiger Creek with Bonner Slough, a point for corner;
Thence, Westerly along and with the center line of Bonner Slough to
an intersection of said Bonner Slough with the Easterly right-of-way line of
Gulf States Utilities transmission line, a point for corner;
Thence,- Northerly along the East right-of-way line of Gulf States Utilities
transmission line, crossing Interstate 10 and continuing along the East right--
of-way of Gulf States Utilities transmission line a dista nce of 1, 000 feet
Northerly from the Northerly right-of-way of Interstate 10, a point for corner;
Thence, Westerly, at right angle from the East right-of-way of Gulf
States Utilities transmission line a distance of 1, 500 feet, a point for corner;
Thence, Southerly, at right angle to preceding call and parallel to and
1 , 500 feet West from the East right-of-way of Gulf States Utilities transmission
line to a point for corner, said point for corner being located 1 , 500 feet at right
angle from the Northerly right-of-way line of Interstate 10;
Thence, Southwesterly parallel to and 1, 500 feet at right angle from the

Northerly right-of-way line of Interstate 10 to the center line of Bonner Slough,
a point for corner;
Thence, Southerly along and with the center line of Bonner Slough to a
point for corner, said point for corner being located on the center line of Bonner
Slough, 400 feet at right angle from the Northerly right-of-way 1•ine of Interstate 10;
Thence, Westerly, parallel to and 400 feet.at right angle from the Northerly
right-of-way of Interstate 10, to an intersection with the East right-of-way
of Jay Lane, a point for corner;
Thence, Northerly along and with the East right-of-way of Jay Lane and
the Northerly projection thereof, to a point for corner said point for corner
being located 1, 500 feet at right angle from the Northerly right-of-way line
of Interstate 10;
Thence, Westerly, parallel and 1, 500 feet at right angle from the Northerly
right-of-way of Interstate 10 to an intersection with the East bank of the East Fork
(approximately 3, 000 feet) of Bairds Bayou, a point for corner;
Thence, Southerly along the East bank of the East tributary of Bairds Bayou,
crossing Interstate 10, crossing the Kansas City Southern Railroad, crossing
Old U. Se Highway 90, and crossing to the Southerly right-of-way line of the
Southern Pacific Railroad, a point for corner;
Thence, Easterly along the South right-of-way of the Southern Pacific
Railroad to an intersection with the Easterly right-of-way of Gulf States Utilities
transmission line, a point for corner;
Thence, Northerly, crossing the Southern Pacific Railroad and continuing

Thence, Easterly along and with the South line of the M. j, Brake Survey
to the Southeast corner of the said M. 1. Brake Survey, the place or point
for beginning of herein described tract or parcel of land.
