R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on March 21, 1972, the City received bids
for the demolition of all improvements in Blocks 11 and 12 of
the Original Townsite of Beaumont except the City Hall Annex
Building and the removal and back filling excavation of under-
ground storage tanks; and,
WHEREAS, Olshan Demolishing Company, Inc. submitted
a bid for such demolition and excavation; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by Olshan Demolishing Company, Inc. is the lowest
and best bid and'should be accepted, and that a contract with
Olshan Demolishing Company, Inc. for such demolition and excavation
should be executed and that such demolition and excavation be
accomplished under said contract; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the bid of Olshan Demolishing Company, Inc. be accepted,
and the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
on behalf of the City of Beaumont a contract with Olshan
Demolishing Company, Inc. for the demolition of all improve-
ments in Blocks 11 and 12 of the Original Townsite of Beaumont
except the City Hall Annex Building, and for the removal and
back filling excavation of underground storage tanks in accordance
with the plans and specifications drawn by Pitts, Phelps and
White, consulting architects; and that the City Clerk be, and
he is hereby, authorized to attest to said contract and to
affix the seal of the City of Beaumont thereto.
