A RE S O LUT I O N
WHEREAS, Peter W. Maida of Beaumont, Jefferson County,
Texas, has tendered an offer to convey to The City of Beaumont,
a certain twenty-five (25) acre tract of land in the J. H. Rowe
Survey in consideration of the total sum of -Six Hundred Fifty
($650.00) Dollars per acre; it being the intention of the City
to use said property for the expansion of the Sewage Treatment
Plant; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the purpose
of said conveyance and is of the opinion that it is necessary
and desirable'and that said property should be purchased;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized,to pur-
chase said property on behalf of the City of Beaumont from
Peter W. Maida for a total consideration of Six Hundred Fifty
($650.00) Dollars an acre.
PASSED by the City Council this the 22nd day of December,
1970.

Subject: Pete Maida Property
COMMENT:
Submitted herewith is an executed Warranty Deed on
subject property and a resolution authorizing the purchase
of same. Purchase price of property should be tendered to
Mr. Maida when (1) he has submitted certificate from taxing
authorities indicating that all taxes have been paid; and
(2) completion of title policy from Security Title Company.
