A R E S 0 L U T I 0 N
WHEREAS, it is the intent and desire of this Council
to assure each City employee fair and equitable remuneration
for services rendered to the City; and,
WHEREAS, this resolution is one of a series of steps
planned in obtaining this objective; and,
WHEREAS, some employees are not currently receiving
the minimum prescribed for their pay range, and other'em-
ployees have received no pay adjustment since January 1, 1970,
even though they have not reached the highest step in their
pay range;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That all City employees who are not currently receiving the
minimum pay of the respective pay ranges be raised to that
minimum, and that such pay adjustment be retroactive to July
13 1970; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
That all City employees who have not received a wage adjustment
since January 1, 1970, and who have not attained the highest
step of their respective pay range, be advanced one step within
their respective pay range, and that such pay adjustment be
retroactive to July 1, 1970; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
That all pay adjustments which were received by employees on
August 3, 1970, shall likewise become retroactive to July 1, 1970.
