A R E S 0 L U T I 0 N
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont and A. F. Jones & Son,
Inc. executed a certain contract on April 13, 1970, for street
and storm sewer improvements on Harrison Avenue from Tenth
Street to Eleventh Street at a total contract price of
$35,055.83, of which $15,846.88 is outstanding; and,
WHEREAS, the City's Consulting Engineer, Matt Racki,
has submitted evidence, including a Certificate of Completion,
to the effect that the Contractor has complied with all terms
of the contract; and,
WHEREAS, the City Engineer, J. D. Martin, has inspected
the work and'recommends its acceptance and final payment to
the Contractor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City of Beaumont hereby accepts the completion of the
aforesaid contract in all particulars and does further authorize
the final payment of $15,846.88 to the Contractor, A.F. Jones
& Son, Inc.

Re: Paving of Harrison Avenue
from Tenth Street to Eleventh
Street
The Contractor, A. F. Jones & Son, Inc., has completed the
improvements called for in the Contract Documents dated April 13,
1970, between The City of Beaumont and said contractor. The pavement
is of six (6) inch reinforced concrete with integral curb for a width
of thirty (30) feet from face of curb to face of curb with the neces-
sary storm sewer and appurtenances.
Mr. Matt M. Racki, Consulting Engineer for the City of Beau-
mont on this contract, has submitted evidence to this office, includ-
ing Certificate of Completion, that the Contractor has complied with
all of the terms of the contract.
The City departments involved and Mr. Racki have inspected
the completed work and all recommend its acceptance.

Eleventh Street and authorizing final Payment.
COME NT:
"Attached,is a letter to the Mayor and City Council recommending
acceptance of the street and storm sewer improvements on said Harrison Ave-
nue as provided for under that certain contract between A. F. Jones & Son,
Inc., and the City of Beaumont dated April 13, 1970.
The total cost of the completed contract work is $35,055,83.
Previous monthly payments result in a final payment due in the amount of
$15,840.88.
Please prepare a resolution for City Council action accepting
this contract as completed and authorizing final payment in the amount of
$15,846.83.
