A R E S 0 L U T I 0 N
WHEREAS, the Estate of Margaret Smith Prutzman is
desirous of making a gift to The City of Beaumont of the
following described real property:
Fieldnote-_Description,of a 0.232 acre tract
being a portion of the abandoned Missouri
Pacific Railroad right-of-way bounded by the
above described 0.138 acres on the Southeast,
the Dowlen Road on the Northeast, the Prutzman
Road on the Northwest and the dividing line be-
tween -the H. Williams and the C. Williams League
in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas;
ALL THAT CERTAIN tract or parcel of land being
a portion of the abandoned Missouri Pacific
Railroad right-of-way (formerly .the Beaumont,
Sour Lake, and Western Railroad) being 50
feet in width and extending from the south-
westerly line of the Dowlen Road to the
South line of •the H. Williams League, Abstract
56, and containing 0.232 acres of land more
or less out of the H. Williams League, Abstract
56, Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas and being
more fully bounded and described as follows
BEGINNING at a 3/4 inch iron pipe which marks
the intersection of the South line of the H.
Williams League with the Northwesterly line of
the abandoned Missouri Pacific Railroad right-
of-way, said point also marks an angle point
in the South right-of-way line of the Prutzman
Road and is also the Easterly lot corner of
Lot l of the partition of the Lawrence Harmon,
Sr. tract in the Charles Williams League,
Abstract 59;
THENCE along the first course and along the
Southeasterly line of the Prutzman Road North
640 23' E. a distance of 256.29 feet to a
point which,�.marks the intersection of the
Northwesterly line of the abandoned Missouri
-Pacific Railroad right-of-way with the South-
westerly line of Dowlen Road;
THENCE along the Southwesterly right-of-way
line of Dowlen Road, South 250 37' E. for a
distance of 50 feet to a 1/2 inch iron rod
which marks the most northerly corner of the
above described 0.138 acres;

THENCE along the Northwesterly line of the
above described 0.138 acres South 640 23' W.
a distance of 148.08 feet to 1/3 inch iron
pipe which marks the most Westerly point of
the above described 0.138 acres said point
also being the beginning point of the afore-
mentioned 0.138 acres;
THENCE along the South line of the H. Williams
League, South 890 11 W. for a distance of
119.30' to the place of beginning, CONTAINING
in area 0.232 acres of land more or less; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, and the citizens of Beaumont
recognize the great value of this gift to The City of Beaumont
and its future progress, and herewith express their deep and
sincere appreciation for the.said gift;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the above described real property be, and it is hereby,
in all things accepted by The City of Beaumont; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that The City of Beaumont,
acting herein by and through its Mayor and City Council, does
hereby express its appreciation and recognition of the gener-
osity of the donor.
