WHEREAS, bids were received on March 17, 1970, for
furnishing cast iron pipe for municipal purposes for The City
of Beaumont for the period beginning April 1, 1970, and ending
April 1, 1971; and,
WHEREAS, Lone Star Steel submitted a bid for furnish-
ing cast iron pipe, which was the lowest and best bid receiv-
ed, and the City Manager recommended that the bid of Lone
Star Steel Company for the furnishing of cast iron pipe be
accepted and that a contract be entered into with said
Company, and that cast iron pipe be purchased from Lone Star
Steel Company under said contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to ex-
ecute on behalf of The City of Beaumont a contract dated
)774,Lv 26i ,Lk 1970, with Lone Star Steel Company
0
for the furnishing of cast iron pipe for the period beginning
April 1, 1970, and ending April 1, 1971; and the City Clerk
is hereby authorized to attest to said contract and to affix
the Seal of The City of Beaumont thereto.
