WHEREAS, The Southern Pacific Company, a Delaware
Corporation, has tendered a deed to The City of Beaumont in
accordance with the provisions of the "Port Exchange Yard
Agreement", conveying a 0:1594 acre tract of land more or less
and more particularly described as follows, to wit:
All that certain -tract or parcel of land in the
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, and
being out of Steam Mill Square of the Beaumont
Townsite, plat of which is recorded in Volume
448 Page 249 of the Deed Records of said County,
and being more particularly described as follows:
For a locative point, an iron rod at the inter-
section of the east line of Cypress Street and
the north line of Mulberry Street, said point
also being the southwest corner of said Steam
Mill Square;
Thence North 88°58'50" East along the north
line of Mulberry Street and the south line of
Steam Mill Square a distance of 161.30 feet to
a place of beginning;
Thence North 88058'50" East along the north line
of Mulberry Street and the south line of Steam
Mill Square a distance of 27.48 feet to a point;
Thence deflecting to the left along the arc of
a 858.44 foot radius curve, 173.50 feet to'a
point (chord of said curve bears North 21053'52"
West 173.21 feet);
Thence North 27°41'17" West a distance of 50.00
feet to a point;
Thence.deflecting to'th.e left along the arc of
a 779.81 foot radius curve, 112.37 feet to an
iron rod for a point (chord of said curve bears
North 31°48'59" West 112.27 feet);
Thence turning to a southeasterly bearing and
deflecting to the right along the arc of a 415.14
foot radius curve, 122.46 feet to an iron rod for
a point (chord of said curve bears South 19000'24"
East 122.02 feet);
Thence South 27°41'17" East a distance of 41.36
feet to a point; �.
Thence deflecting to the right hong the are of a
831.94 foot radius curve 161.00 feet to the point
of beginning (chord of said curve bears South 22
08'39" East 160.75 feet) said tract being a part
of right of way conveyed to Texas; and New Orleans
Railroad Company (now Southern Pacific Company)

WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the purpose
of said conveyance and is of the opinion that the acceptance
of this property is necessary and desirable and that the deed
should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That said deed referred to above,as tendered by the Southern
Pacific Company,for the above described tract of land be and
the same is hereby accepted in all things.
