Datitled an ordinance amending Sub -section B of section
9 of an ordinance �oassed on the 4th day of -,august, 1920, entitled
"An Ordinance regulating the passage in, along and upon streets
and -;lays of the City of Beaumont and regulating the use of such
ways by persons riding or walking and regulating the transportation
of persons by street cars and other vehicles, and providing penal-
ties for the violation thereof, repealing all luaus and ordinances
in conflict herewith, and declaring an emergency", and declarii-g
an emergency, so that hereafter the same shall be and read as
follows, to wit:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CO1.21ISSION "OF THE
CITY OF BEAUIIONT:
Section 1.
That Sub -section B of Section 9 of an ordinance entitled
"Ah Ord dance regulating the passage in, along and upon streets
and ways of the City of Beaumont and regulating the use of such
ways by persons riding or ;ralking and regulating the, transportation
of persons by street cars and other vehicles, and providing penal-
ties for the violation thereof, repealing all laws and ordinances
in conflict herewith, and declaring an emergency"
be and the same is hereby amended so that Sub -section B of Section
9 thereof shall hereafter be and read as follows, to wit:
S:�CTION 9.
(B) Vehicles shall park at an angle of 45 degrees on
the North side of the following streets:- On Crockett f-rarn the
intersection of Jefferson, thence -;'last to the intersection of
blain. On Bowie from its intersection with Neches, thence East to
its intersection withLain Street. Oil Fannin from its intersec-
tion with Neches Street, thence east to its intersection with Idlain
Street. On Forsythe :From its intersection with ileches, thence Nast
to its intersection with Lain ;Street. On 'i:'all .from its intersection
with Neches Street, thence East to its intersection with L'iain Street.
On College from its intersection with Ileches ;Street thence east
to its intersection with % ain Street. zind vehicles shall park at
an angle of 45 degrees on both sides of Calder Avenue from its.
intersection with _Pearl Street to its intersection with.IIain street,
and on the forth side of Calder Avenue beginning at a point

boundary line of said Calder -.avenue :_stores, and on the north side

Section 2.
The fact that the present ordinances permit parking
parallel with the curb on the portions of Broadway and 11[illovr

an additional parking space
for cars, and the
fact
that
there is a present need for
additional parking
space on said streets creates an imperative public emergency
necessitating the. suspension of the rule 'requiring ordinances
to be� read on three separate dads before their passage.
?therefore, said rule is hereby suspended and this ordinance
stall be and Tema -t -i effective from and after its passage
and lawiful publication.
Passed this the -21 df, _ day of Peb-ruary, A. D.
19259 by the affirmative vote of all memb er s of the
Commission.
