AN ORDINANCE PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT
ON THE 29TH DAY OF (r TOBER, A. D. 1929, FOR THE PURPOSE (F PAYING THE
INTEREST AND CREATING A SINKING FUND FOR THE BOND ACCOUNTS THEREIN
MENTIONED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION (F THE CITY
OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1:
That the tax of Fifty-one ($;51) Cents on each $100;00
valuation of all taxable property within the limits of the City of
Beaumont heretofore levied for interest and sinking fund accounts
other than school bond accounts, and ordered collected by an Ordinance
passed by the City Commission of the City of Beaumont on the 29th day
of October, A. D. 19292 be and the same is hereby apportioned among
the various interest and sinking funds as follows:
To the interest and sinking fund of Abattoir Bonds #1, dated Dec-
ember 1, 1911 - two mills ($0`0020);
To the interest and sinking fund of Airport Bonds #1, dated July 1,
1929 - six mills ($;0060);
To the interest and sinking fund of City Hall Bonds #1, dated Dec-
ember 11 1902 - two and five -tenths mills ($:0025);
To the interest and sinking fund of City Hall and Auditorium Bonds
dated December 1, 1926 - two cents and six and five -tenths mills ($;065):
To the interest and sinking fund of Fire Department Bonds, 1922,
dated October 1, 1922 - six mills ($;0060);
To the interest and sinking fund of Fire Department Bonds #2, dated
December 1, 1926 - one cent and three and five -tenths mills ($:0135);
To the interest and sinking fund of Fire Department Bonds #3, dated
July 1, 1929 - six mills ($0"0060);

Section 2:
That the tax of thirty cents ($:30) on each $100;00 valuation
of all taxable property within, the old city limits of the City of
Beaumont as such limits existed at the time of the adoption of the
present City Charter and that portion taken in in 1923 for school pur-
poses only, heretofore levied for interest and sinking fund accounts
on school bond indebtedness for the Beaumont City Schools end ordered
collected by an ordinance passed on the 29th day of October, A. D. 1929,
be and the same is hereby apportioned among the various school bond
interest and sinking funds as follows:
To the interest and sinking fund of School House Repair Bonds #1,
dated October 11, 1901 - one mill ($;0010);
To the interest and sinking fund of School House Repair Bonds ##2,
dated November 1, 1901 - one mill ($00010):
To the interest and sinking fund of School House Repair Bonds ##3,
dated December 1, 1901 - one mill ($00010)0
To the interest and sinking fund of School House Building and Repair
Bonds #41, dated December 11 1909 - eight and three -tenths mills ($;0083)0

Section 3;
That the City Tax Assessor and Collector is hereby instructed
to pro -rate the said suns so assessed according to the provisions
of this Ordinance, and to so present his statement and report to the
Director of Finance that said officer may be able to place all collections
made under said tax to the credit of the proper fund and that the same
may not be diverted or used for any other purposes;
Section 4:
The fact that no apportionment has been made of the assessments
levied to provide for the interest and sinking fund for the bonded
indebtedness of the City of Beaunont, creates an imperative public
emergency necessitating the suspension of the rule requiring ordinances
to be read at three separate meetings before their passage, wherefore,
said rule is suspended and this ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and signature of the Mayor:
