FILE: 893 -OB STAFF REPORT Mirna Elizabeth Guillen is requesting to abandon an unnamed City of Beaumont right-of-way. The requested portion of right-of-way extends west of Major Drive between block 2 and block 3 of South Amelia Addition and is approximately sixty feet wide and one hundred ninety four feet in length. This property is currently maintained by the two owners neighboring the abandoned right-of-way. The intended purpose of abandoning this right-of-way is to use the land to plant a garden. The Planning staff recommends approval of this request. This item was sent to all interested parties. Exhibits are attached. Major Dr. The proposed property has been an empty lot since before Ma or Dr. was constructed and left behind with the plan to provide a Street in this property. For years this property has been maintained clean by the two owners of the side properties. We give maintenance to property every time our property needs maintenance which is around every 2 weeks. Although is not being used now in the previous owner asked for permission to plant crops in this property and we would like to continue planting if the process of abandonment would come through successfully.
