Commissioner Sandy Pate Alt. Commissioner Marty Craig Alt. Commissioner Cory Crenshaw Commission Members absent: Commissioner Lynda Kay Makin Commissioner J.P. Colbert Commissioner Eddie Senigaur Councilmembers present: None Councilmembers absent: Mayor Becky Ames Mayor Pro-Tem Robin Mouton Councilmember Bill Sam Councilmember Audwin Samuel Councilmember Mike Getz Councilmember W.L. Pate Councilmember Virginia Jordan *Council was not required to attend the meeting* Also present: Chris Boone, Director of Planning and Community Development Adina Josey, Senior Planner Tyrone Cooper, City Attorney Fran Malvo, Recording Secretary 1 Planning and Zoning February 18, 2019 APPROVAL OF MINUTES Alternate Commissioner Craig made a motion to approve the minutes of the Joint Public Hearings held on January 28, 2019. Vice-Chairman Mason seconded the motion. Motion to approve the minutes carried 9:0. REGULAR MEETING 1) Preliminary Plat: Request for a Preliminary Plat approval of Barrington Heights, Phase XII, Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas Applicant: Arceneaux, Wilson & Cole Location: 6500 block of Claybourn Drive Mr. Boone presented the staff report. Arceneaux, Wilson & Cole has requested a Preliminary Plat approval of Barrington Heights, Phase XII. This development is located in the 6500 block of Claybourn Drive. The 8.3876 acre development is a twenty-one lot residential subdivision in an R-S (Residential Single-Family Dwelling) District. Wexler and Emory Charles will have 50 foot rights-of-way and 28’ pavement widths. The extensions of Claybourn Drive and Valmont Avenue will have 60’ wide rights-of-way with 37’ pavement widths. Water and sewer will be provided by extension of City utilities. The item was sent to all interested parties. The Planning staff recommended approval of the request. Chairman Nejad asked Mr. Boone did the Fire Department review the plat and are they requiring a cul-de-sac. Mr. Boone replied that Claybourn Drive will eventually connect. The applicant was present. Mr. Joe Pattie, representing Areceneaux, Wilson & Cole, 2901 Turtle Creek Drive, Port Arthur, Texas, addressed the Commission. Mr. Pattie stated he had no additional comments. No questions or comments for Mr. Pattie. Alternate Commissioner Craig made a motion to approve the request for a Preliminary Plat of Barrington Heights, Phase XII as requested. Commissioner Little seconded the motion. Motion to approve carried 9:0. OTHER BUSINESS None. THERE BEING NO OTHER BUSINESS, THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 3:04 P.M. 2
