THE CONTRACTOR PERFOPaIING SAID VTORK; APPROVING THE FOMOF SUCH SPECIAL- ASSESS MENV CERTIFICAT ES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMIONT : SECTION 1: That the work. of improving the following described in the City of Beaumont,,Texas, to -gait: street.; NORTH STREET, from the ;Test line of Eleventh - Street to the East line of.Calder Place Addition, by raising) grading, filling; widening, paving, repaving -or repatripg same and by constructing such.drainage lines and facilities and other incidentals and appurtenances thereto as deemed necessary and ad.eauate by the City Engineer and as provided for in the.Plans and Specifications therefor,' said paving consisting of the construoti'on of a six-inch (6°) reinforced Portland cement concrete slab with integral curbs, all of the type and width -as provided for in said- Plans and Specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer, and heretbfore approved and adopted by`sa-d City Council, all of said improvements being as pro- vided for and described in said Plans and Specifications, and all of same having been performed and completed in full accordance with all the tears and provisions of the, contract dated Mlarch 26, 1948; between said City,of Beaumont, Texas and Trotti 8: Thomson, Inc., and said Plans and Specifications therein contained; and said. City Engineer having measured, examined and caused to be tested the finished im-orovene nts by the means and in the manner provided by the terms.of said Contract and the Plans and Specifications therein contained, and said City Engineer having found that such improvements have been constructed and completed in full compliance with all provisions of said .Contract and said Plans and SpecifJoations, and .said City Engineer having approved and coepted said Work and improvements and having heretofore issued his Certificate of Final Acceptance, and so certified to said City Council and recorirnending that said City Council accept and' receive said work and the i-rlprovements ' as constructed -and completed by said Trotti Thomson, Inc., and said work and'improvements'having been examined and found by the ?payor and the City Council of said. City of Beaumont, Texas, to have been performed and completed in full compliance with sa_. d Contract and said.. Special Assessment Certificates evidencing the assessments I evied against the properties improved abutting upon the above described street and against- the real and true owners thereof, v!hich, by the terns of said Contract , the City of Beaumont, Te .a.s has agreed and obligated itself to issue and deliver to s,:,_ia Trot -Li & Thomson, lnc. in accordance j,rith the provisions of the Final Assessment Ordi_lance and other proceed-1-ngs heretofore had and adopted by said City Council; said Special Assessment Certificates shall be e_cecuted in the na-me of said City by its liayor and City Clerk, and impressed rrith the seal of said City, and dated as of the date hereof, and such officers are hereby authorized and dire cted to execute said Certificates in their official capacities on behalf of said City, and deliver same to said Viotti 3., Thorson, Inca , said Special Assessrlent Ce-rtifica.tes having heretofore been prepared, a copy of which is on file w-Lth the City Clerk, the forni and contents thereof are hereby approved and adopted. Thomson, Inc., has performed and completed all the work in improving said street in full accordance Trith the plans, . specifications and the contract there- for dated Harch 26, 1948, said work being more particularly described as the construction thereupon of a six-inch reinforced Portland Cement con- crete pavement with integral curb, drainage lines and facilities and other appurtenances to such work. I have examined the work done as per that certain contract of "March 26, 1948, and find that the contractor, Trotti L Thomson, Inc., has completed the work in a proper and highly satisfactory manner, and in full accordance with the plans, specifications and the contract re- ferred to herein. Therefore, I -recommend that the City Council accept and receive this work. Respectfully, If.
