AN "ORDINANCE
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 20-2
OF THE CODE OF THE. -CITY OF.BEAUMONT;_PRESCRIB-
ING A PERMIT FEE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF METAL
CANS, STORAGE.TANES AND PUMPS;_. PRESCRIBING A
PENALTY; PROVIDING A SEVERA.BILITY CLAUSE, AND
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR. PARTS OF ORDINANCES
INCONSIST�-NT" OR CONTRARY HERETO.
BE IT ORDAINED BY ;THE C ITY. OF BEAUMONT-.
Section 1,
Article 20-2 -.of the Code of The. City of " Beaumont is
hereby amended to read as follows;
"All metal cans, storage tanks and pumps shall
be installed in.. -a standard manner as provided by
the rules of the National Board' of 'Fire Under-
writers and shall be installed only after a per-
mit has been obtained from the City -Council and
under the direction of the City Engineer and the
Fire Marshall. The fees for such permits shall
be as follows;
Metal .Cana ........... ®.. 1.00 "
Storage Tank............ 25.00
Pump. ..................110.00 .
Butane Tank for
Domestic Use....$ 5,00
Butane Tank for
Commercial Use..$25.00"
Section 2.•
Any person found :guilty of violating any provision of
this ordinance shall .b.e, deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and. sub-
ject to a fine in the sum of not less than One ($1.00) -Dollar
nor more than Two Hundred (y1200.00) Dollars. for each violation
of any provision of this ordinance, and each day of the- continu-
ance of such violation shall constitute a"separate offense and
be punishable as such hereunder.
Section 3.
If any section, subsection, sent -once; clause, phrase or
portion of this ordinance is for any -reason held invalid or un-
constitutional by any court of competent"jurisdiction, such sec-
tion, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion shall be
deemed a separate, distinct -and independent provision and such
holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion
thereof.
