HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 28-EEU &..0 10 P b 1� 1 -S-1c�, AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 42 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS, AND IN PARTICULAR THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ZONING DISTRICTS AS INDICATED UPON THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT REFERRED TO IN SECTION 42-9 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF BEAU.- MONT, TEXAS,BY CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATION OF A 10-ACRE TRACT OF LAND LYING ADJACENT TO AND SOUTH OF STATE HIGH- WAY LOOP 251, DESCRIBED HEREIN, PRESENTLY ZONED 11R--1't, TO ttR-311; AND BY CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATION OF THE NORTH ONE HALF 'OF BLOCK 12-A, CARTWRIGHT & ROBERTS SUB- DIVISION A, REPLAT, CONSISTING OF LOTS.1 THROUGH 9, PRESENTLY ZONED 14R--ltt, TO 11C--11t . BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS: Section 1. That Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, and in particular the boundaries of the zoning districts as indicated upon -._,the Zoning Map of The City of Beaumont, referred to in Section 42.-9 thereof, is hereby amended by changing the zoning class- ification of the following described property presently zoned "R.-111, Single. -Family Dwelling District, to 1tR--311, Modified Two. -Family and Multiple Dwelling District, to wit: That 10.-acre tract lying adjacent to and south of State Highway Loop 251, being more fully bounded and described as follows: That 10-acre tract bounded on the north by State Highway Loop 251, on the west by the T&NO (Southern Pacific) Railroad right of way, on the south by the L.N.V.A. Canal, and.on the east by Highland Avenue; and by changing the zoning classification of the following described property presently zoned ttR-11t, Single -Family Dwelling District, to 1tC--11S, Neighborhood Commercial District, to wit: That portion of the north one half of Block 12•-A of the Cartwright & Roberts Subdivision A, replat consisting of Lots 1 through 9; and the said official Zoning Map of The City of Beaumont is hereby amended to reflect such changes. Section 2.
