AN ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT TO
EXECUTE A GENERAL WARRANTY DEED, DATED DECEMBER
31, 1960, CONVEYING TO MISSOURI PACIFIC RAILROAD
COMPANY TWO TRACTS OF LAND CONTAINING 8.895 ACRES,
MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN BY METES AND
BOUNDS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS..:
That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute and de-
liver for and on behalf of The City of Beaumont a general warranty
deed, dated December 31,' 1960, to Missouri Pacific Railroad Company,
conveying to Missouri Pacific Railroad Company the following tracts
of land:
TRACT I: A parcel of land being part of and off of
Lots 19,. 20, 21 and 38 of the Thurlow Courts Addi-
tion to the City of Beaumont, Texas, in the Charles
Williams Survey, Abstract 59, as platted in Map
Records Vol. 7, Page. 111, conveyed to the City of
Beaumont, Texas, by S. J. Thurlow and wife by deed
recorded in Vol. 1117, Page 575, of deed records of
Jefferson County, Texas, said parcel being more
particularly described by metes and bounds as fol-
lows:
Beginning at the.southeast corner of Lot 19 of Thur-
low Courts Addition in the Charles Williams Survey
in the City of Beaumont on the existing north right
of way line of the Texas & New Orleans Railroad Com-
pany, said corner being south 0050t'east.a distance
of 129.50 feet from the northeast corner of said Lot
19 of the Thurlow Courts Addition in the City of Beau"
mont, Texas;
Thence south 81025t west along the south line of Lots
20, 21 and 38 being also the existing north right of
way line of the Texas. & New Orleans Railroad Company a
distance of 488.2 feet to a point for corner, said
point being the intersection of the existing north
right of way line of the Texas & New Orleans Railroad
Company and the east line of the Hugh Long, Jr. Tract;
Thence north 00 50? west along the east line of Hugh
Long, Jr. tract a distance of 70.59 feet to a point
on the proposed north right of way of the proposed
Missouri Pacific Railroad relocation;
Thence along the proposed north right of way line of
the proposed Missouri Pacific Railroad relocation,
said line being the are of a 20021 081t curve to the
left the chord of said arc being. 272.4 feet, more or
less, in length and bearing N 85038t 081t east to, a
point for a corner;
and
Thence north 810 251 east along the proposed north
right of way line of the proposed Missouri Pacific
Railroad Relocation a distance of 213.76 feet to a
point for corner in the.east line of Lot 19, Thurlow
Courts Addition;
Thence south Oq 501 east along the east line of Lot
19, Thurlow Courts Addition a distance of 40.37 feet
to the point of beginning.
Containing 0.526 acre of land, more or less.
TRACT II: Beginning at the southwest corner of the
Hugh Long, Jr. Tract of the Wiess Park Addition to
the City of Beaumont.said corner -being the intersec-
tion of the north, right of way line of the Texas Fa
New Orleans Railroad Company and the west line of
the Hugh Long, Jr.. Tract;
Thence north 135.43 feet to a point for a corner,
said corner being the intersects -on of the west line
of the Hugh Long, Jr. Tract and the proposed north
right of way lane of the proposed Missouri Pacific
Railroad Relocation said point being the point of
beginning of the tract herein described:.
Thence along the proposed north right of way line of
the proposed Missouri Pacific Railroad Relocation
said line being the arc. of a 21 02t 081, curve to the
right whose chord is 966.89 feet in length and bearing
N 730 471 47" west to a_point on the north line of
the A. P. Wenner Tract;
Thence south 800 371 5911 west along the north line of
the.A. P. Wenner Tract, a distance of 112.22 feet to
a.point for corner said point being the intersection
of the north line of the A. P. Wenner tract and the
west line of the.Lucille Thompson`_,Fredrickson tract;

the Lucille Thompson Fredrickson tract a distance of
74.50 feet to a point on the proposed north right of
way lineof the proposed Missouri Pacific. Railroad
Relocation;
Thence continuing along the proposed north right of

curve to the right whose chord is 282..32 feet in

for corner; said point being the end of the 2002t 081t
curve to the right;

way line of Calder Road Extension said line being also
the existing south right of way line of the Missouri
Pacific Railroad Company right of way;

toa point for corner; said point being the intersection
of the north right of way line of Calder Road Extension

a point for corner;

point for corner; said point being the beginning of a 11,

Thence along the; -..proposed south right of way line of the
proposed Missouri Pacific. Railroad Relocation said line
being the arc of a 1057 t 561t curve to the left whose
.chord length is 1417.39 feet and bearing S 70' 59t• 071teast
to a point for corner on the. west line of the Hugh Long,
Jr. Tract;
Thence north 100.2 feet along the west line of the Hugh
Long, Jr. Tract to the point of beginning;
Containing 8.369 acres of land, more or less;
and quitclaiming to the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company, its succes-
sors and assigns, all of the right, title and interest of The City of
Beaumont in and to the property which has.been held, possessed and used
as railroad right of way by the Texas and New Orleans Railroad Company,
abutting and adjacent to the above described tracts of land; and the
City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to said instrument and to af�
fix the seal of The City of Beaumont thereto.
