ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING THAT
CERTAIN ROADWAY, FULLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, LOCATED
WITHIN THAT CERTAIN SUBDIVISION OF 50 ACRES OUT OF
THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF LOT 12, WILLIAM GRIGSBY 200-.
.ACRE TRACT, BEING A PARS OF THE SUBDIVISION OF THE
WEST ONE HALF OF THE HEZEKIAH WILLIAMS LEAGUE, JEF--
FERSON COUNTY, TEXAS.
WHEREAS,' . a petition signed by all of the owners of the prop-
erty abutting that certain roadway described below has been presented
to the City Council of The City of Beaumont, requesting that such
road be vacated and abandoned;, and,
WHEREAS, said petition has been referred to the Planning and
Zoning Commission of The City of Beaumont for study and approval, and
the same has been approved by said Commission; and,
WHEREAS, it'appears to the City Council that it is to the
best interest of The City of Beaumont and benefit to the public that
that certain roadway described below be vacated and abandoned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
TEXAS:
That that certain roadway described as follows:
Being that certain twenty. -five (25) foot roadway shown
on map recorded in Volume 1, Page 79 of the Map Records
of Jefferson County, Texas, dividing Lots 1 through 5,
from Lots 6 through 10 of that certain subdivision of
50 acres out of the southeast corner of Lot 12, William
Grigsby 200-.acre tract, being a part of the subdivision
of the west one half of the Hezekiah Williams League,
Jefferson County, Texas,
be, and the same is hereby, vacated and abandoned, and that title to
such roadway shall revert to and become the property of those persons
entitled thereto as provided by law; providing that the vacating and
abandoning of said roadway is not intended as a relinquishment of,
and shall in no way affect, the right, title and interest of The City
of Beaumont in and to that certain drainage ditch which crosses that
certain subdivision of 50 acres. out of the southeast corner of Lot 12
of the Grigsby 200"acre tract, being a part of the subdivision of the
west one half of the Hezekiah Williams League, Jefferson County,
Texas.
