AN ORDINANCE
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A
5-FOOT WIDE UTILITY EASEMENT ALONG AND 2.5 FEET
ON EACH SIDE OF THE COMMON LOT LINES OF LOTS 5
AND 6, BLOCK 4, OAKHILL TERRACE ADDITION, AND A
5-FOOT WIDE UTILITY EASEMENT ALONG AND 2.5 FEET
ON EACH SIDE OF THE COMMON LOT LINES OF LOTS 9
AND 10, BLOCK 4, OAKHILL TERRACE ADDITION, IN THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS:
That two (2) five-foot wide utility easements described as follows:
1. A five (5) foot wide utility easement along
and two and five tenths (2.5) feet on each
side of the common lot line of Lots 5 and 6
of Block 4 of Oakhill Terrace Addition, and
2. A five (5) foot wide utility easement along
and two and five tenths (2.5) feet on each
side of the common lot line of Lots 9 and 10
of Block 4 of Oakhill Terrace Addition,
in The City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, be, and the same
are hereby, vacated and abandoned, and that title to such property
shall revert to and become the property of the persons entitled
thereto, as provided by law; and The.City of Beaumont hereby relin-
quishes any and all right, title and interest it had or.might have
had in and to such utility easements.
PASSED by the City Council this 12th day of July, A.D. 1960.

Gentlemen;'
As the Owners of the land'in 0akhill Terrace Addition,
we hereby petition the City of Beaumont -to -vacate and
abandon two (2) five -foot -wide utility easements de
scribed . as follows:
1. Five(5)-fo6t-wide.utility easement along and two
and five tenths (2.5) feet on each side'of the
common lot line of Lots'5 and 6 of Block 4 of
Oakhill Terrace Addition..
2. Five(5)®foot-wide utility easement along and two
and five tenths (-2.5) feet on each side of the
common lot line of.Lots 9.and.10 of Block 4 of
Oakhill Terrace Addition*
The above utility easements were provided for -'street lights
and are not needed'to light the street Rikisha Lane. We
desire to sell sites in.this block, which may involve por-
tions of lots,'and we will need these unnecessary easements
vacated.

Gulf States Utilities Co. and he is agreed to the abandonment.

We have examined in the field the five (5) foot utility
easement line between lots five (5) and six (6) and lots nine
(9) and ten (10) in block four (4) of Oak Hill Terrace Addi-
tion. We do not have any distribution in these easements nor
do we contemplate placing any there unless the City of Beaumont
wishes to install street lights at these locations.
Therefore, we do not have any objection to their being
completely abandoned.

This refers to your letter of June 20, regarding the request to
abandon two five foot utility easements between Lots 5 and 6 and
Lots 9 and 10 in Block 4 of Oakhill Terrace Addition to the City
of Beaumont
Our Company is not now using and has no plans to make use of either
of these easements. We will offer no objection to these two
abandonments.

United Gas Corporation does not have any lines on or across this
easement, does not plan.any extensions across it and has no objections
to its being abandoned.

The Water Department has no water lines in the 2 five (5) utility
easements in the Oakhi]1 Terrace Addition lying between Lots 5 & 6 and Lots
9 & 10 in Block 4 shown in red on the attached print.
We do not plan to install any lines in these 2 five foot easements
and have no objection to their being completely abandoned.
