Dear Mr. Martin:
We have examined in the field the ten foot wide utility easement
at the rear of Lot #1, Block #6 of the Oakcliff Second Addition.
We do not have nor do we contemplate the installation of electric
distribution lines in this dedicated easement. Therefore, we
have no objection to the abandonment of the east one-half of the
ten foot utility easement across the west end of Lot #1, Block
#6, Oakcliff Second Addition.

This refers to your letter of July 16, regarding a request from the
owner of the west halves of Lots 1 and 16, Block 6 of the Oakcliff
Second Additon, to abandon the east half of the ten foot easement
across the west end of Lot 1 Block 6. Our Company had no existing
utility in this portion and has no plans at this time to use it.

I received your letter dated July 16, 1959, asking for permission
to abandon the east one --half of the 10 foot wide utility area
across the crest end of Lot 1, Block 6 of Oak Cliff Second Addition
to the city of Beaumont.
United Gas Corporation has no existing utilities in this portion of
said eastern end and has no objection to its being abandoned.
