Block 5 of the Jarrett Addition to The City of Beaumont have pre- sented a petition requesting that,that portion of 16th Street.lying west of their property and east -'of the east right -'of -way line of Interstate Highway 10 (.U. S.'Highway.90), be vacated and closed; and, WHEREAS, it appears that the request of said property owners should be granted and'that an ordinance should be.enacted.vacating and closing said street, reserving, however, to the Gulf -States Util- ities Company the right to maintain all existing pole lines in said street; N05nT, THEREFORE, 'BE IT 'ORDAINED. BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS: That that portion of 16th Street described as follows: Being that.portion of 16th Street as originally -platted - in the Jarrett Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jeffer- son County, Texas; lying west.of the west. lines of Lots. 12 and 13, Block 5, Jarrett Addition, and east of the east right-of-way line of Interstate 10 (U. S. Highway 90) Freeway between North Street and McFaddin Avenue and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at the northwest -corner of said Lot 12, Block 5, Jarrett Addition, said point being at the intersection of the south line of North Street and the east line of 16th Street as originally platted --in the Jarrett,,Addition; Thence west along the south line of North Street or the north.lzne of Block 5, Jarrett Addition, produced west- ward seventeen and five tenths (17.5) feet,imore or less, to the east right-of-way line of Interstate.::.10 (U.
