HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 19-071RESOLUTION NO. 19-071 WHEREAS, bids were received for a one (1) year contract, with the option of two (2) renewals of a one (1) year term at the same pricing as the awarded contract, for the purchase of liquid polymer for use by the Water Department; and, WHEREAS, Solenis, LLC, of Wilmington, Delaware, submitted a bid at a unit cost of $1.45 per pound for an estimated cost of $72,500, as shown on Exhibit "A," attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes; and, WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Solenis, LLC, of Wilmington, Delaware, is the lowest responsible bidder providing the best value to the City and should be accepted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: THAT the statements and findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby, in all things, approved and adopted; and, THAT the bid submitted by Solenis, LLC, of Wilmington, Delaware, for a one (1) year contract, with the option of tow (2) renewals of a one (1) year term at the same pricing as the awarded contract, for the purchase of liquid polymer for use by the Water Department at a unit cost of $1.45 per pound for an estimated cost of $72,500 with cost to treat sludge, as shown on Exhibit "A," attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes, be accepted by the City of Beaumont; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Solenis, LLC, of Wilmington, Delaware, for the purposes described herein. The meeting at which this resolution was approved was in all things conducted in strict compliance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 551.
