AND. AUTHORIZING THE. PROPER . CITY
OFFICERS TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER A
TRANSFER OF THE SAME _ _
PREAMBLE
Whereas,..on the 17th day of -October, A. D.91946, the City of
Beaumont recovered a .tax judgment against Stephen k. -Gallagher in th-e
amount of One Thousand Four Hundred Seventy-three and 92/100 Dollars
($1,473.92), together with foreclosure of its tax lien for the years
1930, 19319 1932, 1933, 1934919359 1938, 19399' 1940, 1941, 19429 1943
& 1944 upon the following described property, to -wit:.
Lot Six (6), in Block One (1), of the Ellis
Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson
County, Texas, as per -map or plat of said
addition of record in the office of the
County Clerk of said County; and
Whereas, said judgment is entitled to a credit of Sixty Dollars
($60.00), leaving a balance owing on said judgment of One Thousand
Four Hundred Thirteen.and 92/100 Dollars ($1,413.92); and,-
WherOas., the First National Bank of , Beaumont . has offered to .
purchase --all -of -the right, title,- interest.,...- cla.im,._es_tate -and demand
of the City of Beaumont in and to the above described judgment for the
sum of One Thousand Four Hundred Thirteen and 92/100 Dollars ($1,413.92);
and,
Whereas, the City Commission.is of -the opinion that such sale is
for the best interest of the City of Beaumont and should be consummated;
Now, therefore, be it ordained by the City Commission of the City
of Beaumont:
That the aforesaid offer to purchase'the above described judgment
is hereby accepted, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to execute and deliver on behalf of the City of Beaumont a transfer and
assignment coriveyirng- bdto the--First--National--Bank--of--Beaumont. all- of
the right, interest, title, claim, estate and demand of the City of
Beaumont in the above described judgment, without recourse upon the City
of Beaumont.

which Ordinance is attached hereto and marked Exhibit (Afft for-,
and in consideration of the sum of One Thousand Four Hundred
Thirteen and 92/100 Dollars Q1,413i,92) to It in hand paid by
the First Vational Bank of Beaumont, the receipt of which is
hereby acknowledged and confessed, do hereby transfer,and assign
to the said First National Bank of Beaumont a certain tax judg.
ment In the amount of Fourteen Hundred Seventy Three and 92/100
Dollars 01,473i92); paid judgment having been recovered by the
City of Beaumont on October 17-1946, In the case of the City of
Beaumont vs. Stephen Fj Gallagher,,Wo.26991 on the docket of the
60th District Court of Jefferson County.Texas; said judgment also
providing foreclosure of the tax lien existi-ng, in favor of the
City of Beaumont upon Lot Six (6) in Block One. (1) of the Ellia
Addition to the City of Beaumb.nt for the years 1930, 1931, 1932,
1933a 19349, 1935P 19380. 19399 1940$ 1941$ 19420 1943, pnd 1944.
Said First National Bank of Beaumont shall have authority to
demand and receive payment of said Judgment) to sue out execution
and all other legal process that may to necessary for the enforced
ment thereof, and upon payment of the dame to give discharge
thereof.
This judgment Is transferred and assigned without recourse
on the City -of Beaumont.
