That the City Tax Assessor and Collector is hereby instructed to prorate
the said sums so assessed according to the provisions of the Ordinance, and to so
present his statement and report to the Director of Finance that said officer may
b -e able to place all collections made under said tax to the credit of the proper

Ordinance is -for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of compe-
tent jurisdiction, such section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion
shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and such holding shall
not affect the validity of the remaining portions thereof.
Section 5
The fact that no apportionment has been made of the assessments levied to
provide for the interest and sinking fund for the bonded indebtedness of the City

the rule requiring ordinances to be read on three separate meetings before their
passage, wherefore, said rule is hereby suspended and this Ordinance shall take
effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
PASSED this the 27th day of August, A. D., 1946, by the affirmative vote
