ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING THE HFMIN-
AFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY ID THE CITY OF
BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AND EX-
TENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY
SO AS TO INCLUDE THE SAID HEREINAFTER.
DESCRIBED PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS,
AND GRANTING TO SAID TERRITORY AND TO ALL
FUTURE INHABITANTS OF SAID PROPERTY ALL OF
THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS
AND BINDING SAID FUTURE INHABITANTS BY ALL
OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY.
[REAS, a public hearing before the governing body of
the City of Beaumont, Texas, where all interested persons were
provided with an opportunity to be heard on the proposed annexation
of the territory described on Exhibits "A" through "E" attached
hereto and made a part hereof was held at the City Council Chambers
at the City Hall of the City of Beaumont, Texas, on the 7th day of
February, 19781;, which date is not more than twenty (20) nor less than
ten (10) days prior to the institution of annexation proceedings; and,
WHEREAS, notice of such public hearing was published in
a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Beaumont, Texas,
on the 21st day of January, 1978, which is a date not more than
twenty (20) nor less than ten (10) days prior to the date of such public
hearing; and,
WHEREAS, the territory lies adjacent to and adjoins the
present boundaries of the.City of Beaumont, Texas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
The land and territory lying adjacent to and adjoining
the present boundaries of the City of Beaumont, Texas, and described
in Exhibits A, B, C, D, and E; .' attached hereto and made a part
hereof, is hereby added and annexed to the City of Beaumont, Texas,
and said territory hereinafter described shall hereinafter be included
within the boundary limits of the City of Beaumont, Texas, and the
present boundary limits of such City at the various points contiguous
to the area hereinafter described, are altered and amended so as to
include said area within the corporate limits of the City of Beaumont,
Texas.
The described territory and the area so annexed shall
be a part of the City of Beaumont, Texas, and the inhabitants
thereof, if any, shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges
of all the citizens and shall be bound by the acts, ordinances,
resolutions and regulations by the City of Beaumont, Texas.

THENCE North along the existing City limits boundary line parallel to
and 1144 feet from the West line of the Amelia -Rosedale Road (Farm to Market
Road No. 364) to a point 2607 feet from the North line of the Old Beaumont -
Sour Lake Road;
THENCE East along the existing City limits boundary line parallel to
and 2607 feet from the North line of the Old Beaumont -Sour Lake Road to a
point which is 400 feet from the West line of the Amelia -Rosedale Road
(Farm to Market Road No. 364);
THENCE North along the existing City limits boundary line, said line
also being the East line of the N.G. Nichols 50.114 acre tract,,parallel to
and four hundred feet from the West line of the Amelia -Rosedale Road (Farm
to Market Road Yo. 364) to the Northeast corner of the H.G. Nichols 50.114
acre tract;
THENCE Westward with the meanderings of the North line of the H.G.
Nichols 50.114 acre tract to the Northwest corner of said tract, said corner
also being the Northeast corner of the H. G. Nichols 35.254 acre tract;
THENCE Westward with the meanderings of the North line of the H.G.
Nichols 35.254 acre tract to the Northwest corner of said tract;

BEING 275.44 acres out of the A. Savery League, said tract having
been deeded to the City of Beaumont as recorded in Volume 328, Page. 477
of the deed records of Jefferson County, Texas, and 8.47 acres out of the
L.N.V.A. Port Arthur Canal right-of-way.
BEGIN at a point where the north right-of-way fence line of Southern
Pacific (T. & N.O. R.R.) crosses the easterly right-of-way line of L.N.V.A.
Port Arthur Canal, said point being in the westerly City limits boundary
line;
THENCE westerly along the common line of the above mentioned railroad
property and an easterly extension of the south line of the City airport
property to a point for corner, said point being the southeast corner of
the airport tract;
THENCE westerly along the common line of the before mentioned Southern
Pacific R.R. north right-of-way line and the south line of the airport tract
to a point for corner, said point being the southwest corner of the airport
tract;
THENCE northwesterly with the meanders of the west property line of
the airport tract to a point for corner, said point being in the south right-

Sewage Treatment Plant Site
BEING a westerly portion (102.085: acres) of the James Rowe Survey
as deeded to the City of Beaumont by Will Orgain and B.D. Orgain, Trustee
and recorded in Volume 878, page 412 of the deed records of Jefferson
County, Texas, and a 25 acre tract out of the J.A. Rowe Survey as deeded
to the City of Beaumont by Peter Maida and recorded in Volume 1666, page
193 of above deed records and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the northeast corner of the above 102.085 acre tract,
said point being in the south line of the J.W. Bullock Survey, (which is
also the present City boundary limit line) -and also being in the center
line of a drainage ditch being maintained by Jefferson County Drainage
District No. 6, and being known as the Fannett Road Ditch or Ditch No. 11;
THENCE south along the center line of said ditch to the southeast
corner of the said 102.085 acre tract;
THENCE west along the south property line of said 102.085 acre tract

BEING 14.67 acres out of the John A. Veatch Survey and 3,12 acres out
of the J.W. Bullock League, said 17.79 acres having been purchased by the
City of Beaumont as recorded in Volume 128, page 39 of the deed records of
Jefferson County, Texas.
BEGIN at a point in the east right-of-way line of the Texarkana and
Fort Smith Railway (otherwise called the Kansas City, Pittsburg and Gulf
R.R.) where the north line of the John A. Veatch Survey crosses,, said point
also being on the present City boundary limits;
THENCE northeasterly with the westerly line of above mentioned 17.79
acre tract to the northwesterly corner of the tract;
""THENCE southeasterly along the northerly line of the tract .to a point
j for corner, being on the south line of the J.W. Bullock League;
THENCE in an easterly direction along the south line of the J.W. Bullock
League to the easterly corner of the tract;

THENCE down the right descending bank of the water's edge of the Neches'
River with its meanderings to its intersection with the northerly
projection of the face of dock of the -Port of Beaumont;
THENCE continuing in a southeasterly direction along the face of dock
of the Port of Beaumont's Docks.5, 6 and 7 to a point of intersection
with the -water's edge of the Neches River;
THENCE down the water's edge of the Neches River•with its meanderings
to the face of dock of the Port of Beaumont's Dock 4;
THENCE in a westerly direction with. the face of dock of the Port of
