BE IT ORDAINED. BY THE .CITY COUNCIL OF THE -CITY OF BEAUMONT,TEXAS Section I. That .paragraph three of 'Section 10, of an Ordinance entitled, "An -Ordinance entitled an ordinance, creating -a Board -of Water Works Commissioners for the City of Beaumont; provid- ing for their appointment and terms of office; prescribing qualifica4 tions 'of the members; defining the right s,powers.and duties of such board and declaring an emergency", adopted April-21st,19.14, be and the same is hereby amended so -as 'to hereafter read as follows:-- • - p e,.ym-t--to -the:-City- Tre a surer of the -City : the credit- of the General Fund, quarterly, At off: t-heof-uthe sum of Bine Thousand Three Hundred and Seventy Five ; Dollars". Section 2. Whereas, the fact that no stipulated -sum is provided to be paid. quarterly to' the General Fuad from the Water& Works Fund. -creates a public emergency -and imperative necessity that 'the rule requiring ordinances to be read- at .three- regular meetings be suspended -and this ordinance adopted -under a suspension of the rule. Said rule is hereby suspended,and this o.' dinance shall go into full force and effect from and after its passage, approval by the Mayor , and lawful publication.
