HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 76-130t El ORDINANCE NO. 16-13-() ENTITLE p 13 - ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 42 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS, AND IN PARTICULAR THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ZONING DIS- TRICTS AS INDICATED UPON THE ZONING MAP OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS, BY CHANG- ING A 1.29 ACRE TRAGI' DESCRIBED GENERALLY AS A PORTION OF BLOCK 15 OF SPINDLETOP HEIGHTS SUB- DIVISION, BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED, PRESENTLY ZONED "C-2", TO "I-17_; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY: AND PRO- VIDING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: Gari -inn l That Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, and in particular the boundaries of the zoning districts as indicated upon the Zoning Map of The City of Beaumont, referred to in Section 42-9 thereof, is hereby amended by changing the zoning classification of the following described tract of land, presently zoned "C-2"', Central Commercial, to "I-1", Light Industrial, to wit: BEING a 1.29 acre tract of land out of a part of Block 15 of Spindletop Heights.Subdivision of Beaumont,. Jefferson County, Texas, said tract.being more particularly described as, follows: BEGINNING at a concrete monument at the inter- section of the South right-of-way line of Loop 251 and the West right-of-way line of U. S. Highways 69, 96 & 287; THENCE South 380 21' East along.the West.right- of-way line of U. S. Highways 69, 96, & 287 a distance of 245.04 feet to a point for corner; THENCE South 450 30' West a distance of 181.04 feet to a point for corner; THENCE North 380 21' West a distance of 364.45 feet to a point for corner; THENCE North 450 30' East a distance of 25.84 feet to a point for corner in the South right- of-way line of Loop 251; THENCE North 850 19' East a.distance of 185.40 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING of the tract herein described and containing 1.29 acres, and the official Zoning Map of The City of Beaumont is hereby amended to re- flect such changes. �. 71- //-9- 76 a7 That in all other respects the use of the property hereinabove de- scribed shall be subject to all of the applicable regulations contained in Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, adopted August 19, 1958, as amended. Section 3. That the terms and provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed to be severable, and that if the validity of the zoning affecting any portion of the property described hereinabove shall be declared to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the zoning of the balance of the pro- perty described herein. That any person or corporation violating any of the terms and provi- sions of this ordinance shall be subject to the same penalties provided for in said Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas.
