ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 37-58
(E), (F) AND (H) AND ADDING A NEW SECTION 37-58
(N) ESTABLISHING A PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMIT UPON
CERTAIN STREETS AND ROADS OR PORTIONS OF STREETS
AND ROADS WHEN SIGNS ARE ERECTED GIVING NOTICE
THEREOF; PROVIDING A PENALTY; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND
PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAWNT:
Section 1.
That Section 37-58 (E), (F) and (H) be, and the same are hereby
amended to read as follows:

Section 2.
That Section
37-58 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Beaumont,
Texas, be, and the
same is hereby, amended by adding a new Section
(N) to
read as follows:
Section 37-58
Street Limits of Zones
(N) Farm Road 3120 Willis Lane to a point 2,777 feet
south of the center line of State
Highway 105 (center line of Major
Drive/Walker Road intersection),
279.8 feet south of the north end
of LNVA Canal Bridge.
Speed Limit
50 m.p.h.
Any person who violates any provision of this ordinance shall, upon
conviction, be punished as provided in Section 1-8 of the Code of Ordinances
of Beaumont, Texas.
That if any section,.subsection, sentence,.clause or phrase of this
ordinance, or the application of same to a particular set of persons or
circumstances, should for any reason be held to be invalid, such invalidity
shall in no wise affect the remaining portions of this ordinance, and to
such end the various portions and provisions of this ordinance are declared
to be severable.
Section 5.
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
