ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER A2 OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF-BEAUMONT, TEXAS,
AND IN PARTICULAR THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ZON-
ING DISTRICTS AS INDICATED UPON THE ZONING
MAP OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT,
TEXAS, BY CHANGING A 3.67 ACRE TRACT OUT OF
BLOCK 25, T. H. LANGHAM SUBDIVISION, CHARLES
WILLIAMS LEAGUE, LOCATED AT 5700-5800 WASH-
INGTON BLVD., BEAUMONT, JEFFERSON COUNTY,
TEXAS, AS HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED, PRESENTLY
ZONED ".R-1", TO "I-1"; PROVIDING FOR SEVERA-
BILITY; AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.

That Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas,
and in particular the boundaries of the zoning districts as indicated
upon the Zoning Map of The City of Beaumont, referred to in Section
42-9 thereof, is hereby.amended by changing the zoning classification
of the following described tract of land, presently zoned "R-1", Sin-
gle -Family Dwelling District, to "I-1", Light Industrial District, to
wit:
All of the North one-half (N. 1/2) of the
South one=half (S. 1/2) of Lot or Block
Number Twenty-five (25) of the Thomas H.
Langham Subdivision o.f'the West one-half
(W. 1/2) of the East one-half (E. 1/2) of
the Charles Williams League Survey, accor-
ding to the plat of said Subdivision in
the Deed Records of Jefferson'County, Texas;
the tract of land described being bounded on
the South by Washington Boulevard, and it
being intended. to describe all of the South
one-half (S. 1/2) of said Lot or Block Num-
ber Twenty-five (25) lying North of Washing-
ton Boulevard, containing 3.67 acres of land,
more or less,
and the official Zoning Map of The City of Beaumont is hereby amended
to reflect such changes.
Section 2.
That in all other respects the use of the property hereinabove
described shall be subject to all of the applicable regulations con-
tained in Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas,
adopted August 19, 1958, as amended.

Section -3.
That the terms and provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed
to be severable, and that if, the.validity of the zoning affecting any
portion of -the property described hereinabove shall be declared to be
invalid, the same,shall not affect the validity of the zoning of the
balance of the property described herein.
Section 4.
That any person or corporation violating any of_the terms and
provisions of this ordinance shall be subject to the same penalties
provided for in -said Chapter 42 of the Code of.Ordinances of Beaumont,
Texas.
