ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER
42 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF BEAUMONT,
TEXAS, IN THE CONFORMITY WITH THAT CERTAIN
"CALDER -WEST END REZONING STUDY MAP" DATED
OCTOBER 7,1974, INSOFAR AS BOUNDARIES MAY
BE WITHIN THE PERIMETERS OF SAID "CALDER -
WEST END REZONING STUDY MAP"; INCORPORATING
BY REFERENCE SAID MAP IN THIS ORDINANCE;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING
A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
Section 1.
That Chapter 42 of the Code of Ordinances of Beaumont,
Texas, and in particular the boundaries of the zoning districts
as indicated upon the Zoning Map.of the City of Beaumont,
referred to in Section 42-9 thereof, is hereby amended to re-
flect zone boundaries consistent with that certain map entitled
"Calder -West End Rezoning Study Map", dated October 7, 1974,
filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Beaumont,
which map includes within its perimeter the following area:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the Southern
Pacific Railroad right-of-way and 23rd Street;
extending north along 23rd Street to Lot 7,
Block 3, of French Subdivision; continuing
around the periphery of the western one-half
of said lot to the intersection of Delaware
Avenue and French Road; following French Road
north and northeast to the Eastex Freeway;
running northwest along the Eastex Freeway to
West Lucas Street; then southwest on West Lucas
Street to Folsom Drive; following Folsom Drive
west to the north line of the Hezekiah Williams
Survey and running with said line of the City
Limits.line; then following the City Limits
line.south to the Southern Pacific Railroad
right of way; and finally extending northeast
along said right of way to 23rd Street, the
point of beginning.
The intent of this Ordinance is to change the zoning
boundaries of the official zoning map of the City of Beaumont
to conform with the said "Calder -West End Rezoning Study Map"

insofar as zone boundaries are included within the perimeter
of the "Calder -West End Rezoning Study Map", and said map is
hereby incorporated into and made a part of this ordinance.
and the official zoning map of the City of Beaumont is hereby
amended to reflect the boundaries of zones and the use dis-
tricts shown in said "Calder -West End Rezoning Study Map".
Section 2.
That in all other respects the use of the property
hereinabove described shall be subject to all of the appli-
cable regulations contained in Chapter 42 of the Code of
Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas, adopted August 19, 1958, as
amended.
Section 3.
That the terms and provisions of this ordinance shall
be deemed to be severable, and that if the validity of the
zoning affecting any portion of the property described herein-
above shall be declared to be invalid, the same shall not
affect the validity of the zoning of the balance of the pro-
perty described herein.
Section 4.
That any person or corporation violating any of the
terms and provisions of this ordinance shall be subject to
the same penalties provided for in said Chapter 42 of the
Code of Ordinances of Beaumont, Texas.
