Section 1.
Gulf, olorado and anta_F e Railway Company and The Gulf and Inter -
State .:1\ailway Company of Texas, its and their successors and assigns, are hereby
granted the right and franchise to maintain and operate at their own expense a
standard gauge railroad track across Victoria Avenue and over, along and upon
Jefferson Alley in said City of Beaumont, beginning at a point on the main track
of The Gulf and Inter -State Pailv,way Company of Texas at Track Chaining Station
3697+57. 2 in Block 451, Van �T�l ormer Addition to the City of Beaumont, Texas,
and running Northeasterly on a 20 degree curve to the left, 188. 0 feet to the end
of said curve, crossing Victoria Avenue and entering said alley at the Northeast-
erly line of Victoria Avenue between Bonham and Crockett Street, continuing
tangent down the center line of said alley 991 feet across Railroad Avenue and
Holmes Avenue to the Southwesterly line of Archie Avenue, 1179 feet in all, as
shown on print attached 'hereto, narked "Exhibit All and made a part hereof,
the line of said railroad track being indicated by real line drawn on said print.

Section 2
The track now on said right of way which is to be maintained and operated
under the terms and conditions of this ordinance, shall be used only as an indus-
trial track, that is, for the purpose of affording loading, unloading, and switch-
ing facilities to commercial and industrial enterprises now located or hereafter
to be located in the vicinity of said track.
Section 3
The foregoing rights and privileges are granted upon the expressed condi-
tion that the said grantees shall, within thirty (30) days after the passage and
approval of this ordinance, file with the Gity Clerk of the City of Beaumont their
written acceptance of this ordinance.
Section 4
This ordinance and the rights and privileges therein granted are subject
to all of the terms and provisions of the Charter of the City of Beaumont, and
said privileges and franchise hereby granted shall continue in force for a period
of ten (10) years from and after the 14th day of June, 1952.
Section 5
As reasonable compensation for the rights and privileges granted by
this ordinance, grantees agree and obligate themselves and their successors and
assigns, to pay to the City of Beaumont on or before the first day of July of each
year after the taking effect of this ordinance, the sura of Nifty and No/100 Dol-
lars ($50.00).

nify and file in writing their acceptance of an ordinance passed
by your honorable body on the 22nd day of July, 1952, entitled -
"AN ORDINANCE GRANTING GULF, COLORADO AND SANTA FE RAILWAY COMPANY AND
THE GULF AND INTERSTATE RAILWAY COMPANY OF TEXAS A FRANCHISE RIGHT TO
MAINTAIN AND OPERATE AN INDUSTRY TRACK FROM A POINT ON THEIR MAIN LINE

IN THIRTY (30) DAYS AFTER THE PASSAGE AND APPROVAL OF THIS ORDINANCE:
AND ALSO PROVIDING THAT GULF, COLORADO AND SANTA FE RAILWAY COMPANY
AND THE GULF AND INTER -STATE RAILWAY COMPANY OF TEXAS SHALL PAY TO
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT ANNUALLY ON THE FIRST DAY OF JULY OF EACH YEAR
