COMMENT:
Under Section 8-E of the Texas Liquor Control Act
of 1919 cities are permitted to collect one-half
of the fee charged by the state.
The annual State fee for Package Store Permits in
cities of 75 000 or more population is $250.
Under an ordinance passed by the City Commission
Dec. 17, 1935, the fee for this class of permit
is set at $87.50.
It appears this ordinance will have to be amended
prior to August 31st, which is the expiration date
of all package store permits.
