31,3-1G1 Sf/ AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS, RECEIVING AND ACCEPTING THE WORK OF IMPROVING 23RD STREET, FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF LAUREL AVENUE, SOUTH SIX HUNDRED FEETIN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: SECTION 1• That the work of improving the following.described street in the City of Beaumont, Texas, to -wit: 23rd Street, from the South line of Laurel Avenue, South 600 feet has been completed by Trotti & Thomson, Inc., Contractor, and the City Engineer of the City of Beaumont having examined,said work and having found that said work has been completed in a proper and highly satisfactory manner and in full accordance with the minimum standard requirements of the City of Beaumont for the type of construction made thereon, same being the construction of a reinforced portland cement concrete pavement with ditch drainage, together.with other necessary appurtenances to such type of construction, and the said City Engineer having approved and having recommended the acceptance of such work by the City Council of the City of Beaumont, and the assumption by the City of Beaumont of the obligation of maintenance of said street within the limits designated according to the standards prescribed for maintenance of other dedicated streets in the City of Beaumont, and said work and improvements having been examined and found by the,Mayor and the City Council of said City of Beaumont to have been performed and completed in full compliance with the minimum standard requirements of the City of Beaumont, said work and improvements are hereby found by said City Council to'have been performed and completed by said Trotti & Thomson, Inc., in full accordance with the minimum standard requirements of the City of Beaumont for such construction, and said improvements are hereby accepted and received by said City Council of the City gf Beaumont, and said City Council of the City of Beaumont acting for the City of Beaumont hereby assumes the _obligation of maintaining said street within the limits designated according to the standards prescribed for maintenance of other dedicated streets in the City of Beaumont. SECTION 2: That said City Council of the City of Beaumont hereby further accepts and receives said street from H. B. Funchess who has heretofore entered into=a contract with Trotti & Thomson, Inc., for the improvement of said street, and said City Council hereby relieves the said H. B. Funchess and said'Contractor, Trotti & Thomson, Inc., from any and all.obligations to maintain or repair said street within the limits designated'::from and after the date hereof. C ITS OF BEAUMOMrr BEA"CTMOI'm T, TEXAS March 13, 1951 To The Mayor and City Council City of Beaumont Beaumont, Texas Gentlemen :- I wish to inform you that Trotti & Thomson, Inc., has completed all of the work connected with improving the street hereinafter named in full accordance with the minimum standard requirements of the City of Beaumont: 23rd Street, from the South line of Laurel Avenue, South 600 feet. Said street named hereinabove which has been improved within the limits designated is located within the City Limits of the City of Beaumont. Said work consists of the construction of a reinforced portland cement concrete slab with ditch drainage, together with necessary appurtenances to such type of construction. I have examined the work done and find that the Contractor, Trotti & Thomson, Inc., has completed the work in a proper and highly satisfactory manner. Therefore, I recommend that the City Council accept and receive this work and assume the obligation of maintaining said street within the limits designated according to the standards prescribed for maintenance of other dedicated streets in the City of Beaumont.
