AN ORDINANCE
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
TEXAS, RECEIVING AND ACCEPTING THE WCR K OF IM-
PROVING HARRISON AVENUE, FROM THE VJEST PROPERTY
LINE OF NINETEENTH STREET EAST 1101 FEET TO THE
WEST END OF EXISTING PAVEMENT ON HARRRISON AVENUE
IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT :
SECTION 1•
That the work of improving the following described
street in the City of Beaumont, Texas, to -wit:
HARRISON AVENUE, from the West property line of
Nineteenth Street East 1101 feet to the West end
of existing pavement on Harrison Avenue,
by raising, grading, filling, widening, paving, repaving
or repairing same and by constructing such drainage lines
and facilities and other incidentals.and appurtenances,
thereto as deemed necessary and adequate by the City En-
gineer and as provided for in the Plans and Specifications
therefor, said paving consisting of the construction of a
six-inch (691) Reinforced Portland Cement Concrete Pavement,
Thirty-six (369) feet in width, all of the type as provided
for in said Plans and Specifications therefor prepared by
the City Engineer, and heretofore approved and adopted by
said City Council, all of said improvements being as provided
for and described in said Plans. and Specifications, and all
of same having been performed and completed in full accordance
with all of the terms and provisions of the Contract, dated
August 12,.1950, between said City of Beaumont, Texas, and
Trotti & Thomson, Inc., and said Plans and Specifications,
therein contained; and said City Engineer having measured,
examined and caused to be tested, the finished improvements
by the means and -in the manner provided by the terms of said
Contract and the Plans and Specifications therein contained,
and said City Engineer, having found that such improvements
have been constructed and completed in full compliance with
all provisions of said Contract and said Plans and Specifica-
tions, and said City Engineer having approved -and accepted
said work and improvements and having heretofore issued his
certificate of final acceptance, and so certified to said
City Council and recommending that said City Council accept
and receive said work and the improvements as constructed and
completed by said Trotti & Thomson, Inc., and said work and
improvements having been examined and found by the Mayor and
the City Council of the said City of Beaumont, Texas, to have
been performed and completed in full compliance with said
Contract and said Plans and Specifications therefor, said
work and improvements are hereby found by said City Council
to have been performed and completed by said Trotti & Thomson,
Inc., in full compliance with the terms and provisions of said
6ontract and said Plans and Specifications therefor, and same
are hereby accepted and received by said City Council of the
City of Beaumont, Texas.

Gentlemen ;
In accordance with the proceedings heretofore
had by your Honorable Body pertaining to the improvements
of Harrison Avenue, from the West property line of Nine-
teenth Street East 1101 feet to the West end of the exist-
ing pavement on Harrison Avenue,`I wish to inform you that
the Contractor, Trotti & Thomson, Inc., has performed and
completed all of the work of improving said street in full
accordance with the Plans, Specifications and the Contract
therefor dated August 12, 1950,said work being more partic-
ularly described -as the construction thereupon of a six-
inch -(6") Reinforced Portland Cement -Concrete Pavement of
a total width of thirty-six (36t) feet, drainage lines and
facilities and other appurtenances to such work. I have
this date examined the work done as per that certain Contract
of August 12)'1950; and find that the Contractor, Trotti &
Thomson, Inc., has completed the work in a proper and highly
satisfactory manner, and in full accordance with the Plans,
Specifications, and the Contract referred to herein.
Therefore, I recommend that the City Council
accept and receive this.work.
