C� 'Ld 1 121 �f WHEREAS, The City of Beaumont, by Ordinance passed on the 19th day of September, A. D. 1950, levied for municipal purposes only an ad valorem tax of One Dollar and Sixty -Four Cents ($1.64) on each One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars worth of property located within the present City limits of The City of Beaumont made taxable by law; and, , WHEREAS, there has been a demand for the purpose of paying said taxes in installments; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS: Section 1. That the ad valorem taxes levied for the year 1950 for mun- icipal purposes may be paid at the option of the taxpayer in in- stallments as follows: One half (1/2) on or before December 31, 1950; One half (1/2) on or before May 31, 1951. Section 2. If the taxpayer makes the installment payment on or before the due dates.mentioned in Section 1 of this Ordinance, no charge for interest or penalty shall be made by the Tax Collector. If the first installment payment is not paid prior to December 31, 1950, the full amount of the tax shall become due and payable on or before January 31, 1951. If the second installment is not paid on or before the 31st day of May, 1951, the unpaid balance shall be considered delinquent as of February 1, 1951, and penalty and interest as provided by law will be charged from said date.
