AN ORDINANCE
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT,
TEXAS, RECEIVING AND ACCEPTING THE WORK OF
IMPROVING HARRISON AVENUE THROUGH THE NORTH
WAY ARMS PROJECT IN THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:-
SECTION I:
-That the work of improving the following described street
in the City of Beaumont, Texas, to-wit:-
HARRISON ._AVENUE thr.,oUgh the Northway Arms
Project, and extending from the.East line
of what is known as the-Northway Arms Pro-
ject to the East line -of the Sixteenth Street
drainage ditch,
by raising, grading, fillinCD
g, widening, paving, repaving or re-
pairing same and by constructing such drainage lines and facilities
and other incidentals and appurtenances thereto as deemed necessary
and adequate by -the City Engineer and as provided for in the Plans
and Specifications therefor, said paving consisting of the construc-
tion of a six inch -(611) Reinforced Portland Cement Concrete Pave-
ment together with Integral Curb and Gutter and of a total width
of Thirty-seven feet and two inches (37"211), all of the type and
width as provided for in said Plans and -Specifications therefor
prepared by the City Engineer, and heretofore approved and adopted
by said City Council, all of said improvements as being provided
for and described in said Plans and Specifications, and all of
.same.having been performed and completed in full accordance with
qL11 of the terms and provisions of . the Contract dated Oct -,.1A, 1949,
between said City of Beaumont-, Texas, and said Trotti & Thomson,
Inc., and said -Plans and Specifications therein contained;
And said City Engineer having measured; examined and
caused to be tested the finished -improvements by the means and in
the manner provided by_the terms of said Contract and the Plans
and Specifications therein contained and said City Engineer hav-
ing found that such improvements have been constructed and com-
pleted in full compliance with all provisions of said Contract
and said Plans and Specifications, and said City Engineer having
approved and accepted said work and improvements and having here-
tofore issued his certificate of final acceptance and so certified
to said City Council and recommending that said City Council ac-
cept and receive said work and improvements as constructed and
completed by said Trotti & Thomson, Inc., and said.work and im-
provements having been examined and found by the Mayor and City
Council ..of said --City of Beaumont, Texas, to have been performed
and completed in full compliance with said Contract and said Plans
and Specifications therefor, said work and improvements are here-
by found by said City Council to have been performed and completed
by said Trotti & Thomson, Inc., in full compliance with the terms
and provisions of said Contract and said Plans and Specifications
therefor and same are hereby accepted and received by said City
Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas.
SECTION II:
Said Harrison Avenue is designated as Unit III in that
certain Contract of October'.!$, 1949, mentioned hereinabove.
PASSED by the City Council this the sit day of April,
A. D., 1950.

Re: Unit III in Contract of October
1$, 1949; Harrison Avenue
In accordance with the proceedings heretofore had by
your Honorable Body pertaining to the improvements of Harrison
Avenue through the Northway,Arms Project, and extending from
the East line of what is known as Northway Arms Project to the
East line of the Sixteenth Street Drainage Ditch, I wish to in-
form you that the Contractor, Trotti & Thomson, Inc., has per-
formed and completed all of the work in improving such street
in full accordance with the Plans, Specifications and the Con-
tract therefor dated October 18, 1949, said work being more par-
ticularly described as the construction thereupon of a six (611)
inch Reinforced Portland Cement Concrete Pavement together with
Integral Curb and Gutter and of a total width of thirty-seven
feet and two inches, drainage lines and facilities and other ap-
purtenances to such work.
I have examined the work done as per that certain Con-
tract of October 18,. 1949, and find that the Contractor, Trotti
& Thomson, Inc., has completed the work in a proper and highly
satisfactory manner, and in full accordance with the Plans, Speci-
fications and the Contract referred to herein.
Therefore, I recommend that the City Council accept
and receive this work.
