AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING OFFER
OF ETHEL THIBODEAUX TO PRUCHASE
CERTAIN PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING
PROPER CITY OFFICERS TO EXECUTE
AND DELIVER QUITCLAIM DEED TO
PURCHASER OF SAME.
PREAMBLE
WHEREAS, on' the 29th day of August, A.D. 1945, The
City of Beaumont recovered a tax judgment against Gabriel
Beloney, James Beloney, Margueret Mollete, Francis A Mollett,
Rosalia Solomon Joshua and Joseph M. Joshua and their unknown
heirs and legal representatives, if they be deceased, together
with the foreclosure of a tax lien upon the following described
property, to-wit.-
Lot
o-wit.
Lot 10, in Block 2, of the Stockholm Addition,
to the City' of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
as per map or plat of said addition of record in
the office -of the County Clerk, Jefferson County,
Texas; and,
WHEREAS, on the 5th day of February, A.D.1946, The
City of Beaumont purchased said above described property at
public auction in satisfaction of said judgment and tax lien;
and,
WHEREAS on the 12th day of February, A.D.1946,
W. W. Richardson, Sheriff of Jefferson County, Texas, made,
executed, and delivered unto The City of Beaumont a tax deed
to the above described property in satisfaction of said judg-
ment and tax lien, which deed was recorded in Volume 611,
Page 566, of the Deed Records of Jefferson County, Texas,
on the 26th day of March 1946; and,
WHEREAS, on the 16th day of November, A.D. 19492
Ethel Thibodeaux offered to purchase, out of her own separate
property and estate, all of the right, title, interest, claim,
estate, and demand of The City of Beaumont in the above describ-
ed property, to her sole and separate use and benefit, for the
sum of Three Hundred ($300.00) Dollars; aid,
WHEREAS, the said Ethel Thibodeaux paid to the City
of Beaumont the sum of Three Hundred ($300.00) Dollars in
connection with said offer to purchase the above described
property; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that'such
sale is for the best interest of the City of Beaumont and should
be consummated;
NOW, therefore, be it ordained by the City Council
of The City of Beaumont that the aforesaid offer to purchase
the above described property is hereby accepted and the Mayor
and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute and deliver
on behalf of the City of Beaumont a QUITCLAIM DEED conveying
unto Ethel Thibodeaux, to her sole and separate use and bene-
fit, all of the right, title, interest, claim, estate, and
demand of the City of Beaumont in the above described..property
derived by reason of said Sheriff's deed.

does, by these presents BARGAIN, SELL,. RELEASE and. forever
QUITCLAIM! unto the said Ethel Thibodeaux, to her sole and
separate use and benefit, all its right, title, and interest
in and to, that certain tract or parcel -'of land , lying .in the
County of Jefferson and State of Texas, described as follows,

to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County,
