INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM
CITY OF BEAUMONT, TEXAS
Dote: June 14, 1955
To: Mrs. Willie J. Brockman, City Manager
From: Jas. T. Garrard, City Clerk
Subject: Ordinance requested by Gulf States Utilities Co.
COMMENT:
Passage of the attached ordinance has been requested
by the Gulf States Utilities Company. As -this ordinance was
explained to me, it represents a change in.a.step in the resi-
dential rate that is designed to give the customer maximum
benefit of the residential rates automatically.
This benefit has been available to the customer after
checking, but not automatically. In effect, it will furnish
the consumer electricity used between 600'and 800 KWH at a one
and a half cent rate.
