City of Beaumont, Texas
Gentlemen:
The developers of Rothwell Estates have completed all the
street and storm sewer improvements called for in Units 1 and 2.
Certain parts of Unit 1 were accepted by the City Council for permanent
maintenance February 31 1953.
Since then Peyton Drive has been paved from a point four and
three tenths (4.3) feet south of the north lines of Lot g Block2 and
Lot 5 Block 3 northward to the north curb line of the pavement abutting
Lots 1 through 7 Block 5; the street abutting Lots 1 through 7 Block 5,
the street running between Lots 5 and 6 Block 1, Calloway Drive, Parsons
Drive, and the street connecting Calloway Drive and Parsons Drive have
also been paved.
All this pavement is of five (5) inch reinforced concrete
with integral curb and_a width of twenty-four (24) feet back to back of
curb with the necessary storm sewer appurtenances.
Mr. Harvey Trahan and I have inspected these improvements. Mr.
C. A. Kohler, Engineer for Unit 2, and Mr. George J. Schaumburg, Engineer
for Unit 1 have submitted letters certifying that the above street and
storm sewer improvements were constructed in accordance with the plans
and specifications as prepared by them meeting the City's Standards.
on the basis of the inspection by Mr. Trahan and myself and
the letters from Mr. Kohler and Mr. Schaumburg, I recommend that the
City Council accept these street and storm sewer improvements for
permanent maintenance.
