AN ORDINANCE
ENTITLED AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND.THE-CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A SPECIAL WAR-
RANTY DEED CONVEYING THAT PARCEL OF LAND
CONSISTING OF TWENTY-NINE AND FIFTY-EIGHT
HUNDREDTHS (29.58) FEET FRONTING ON WIESS
STREET.WITH.A DEPTH OF ONE HUNDRED NINE (109)
FEET SIDING ON -TEXAS AVENUE, JAMES DRAKE-
SURVEY.TO THE CITY OF BEAUMONT, TO FELTON
W. RICHMOND AND-. WIFE, BEATRICE RICHMOND I IN
CONSIDERATION OF THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY
DOLLARS ($350.00).
,W,IEREAS, The City of Beaumont is the owner of the here-
inafter described land and premises; and
WHEREAS, Felton W. Richmond and wife, Beatrice Richmond,
are the owners of -t-he remainder of. said land hereinafter described
and are desirous of purchasing same from The City of Beaumont, for
the sum of Three Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($350.00); and
WHEREAS, it appears to be to the best interest of The
City of Beaumont to sell said land to Felton W. Richmond and wife,
Beatrice Richmond, for said consideration; the land which is to be
conveyed, as aforesaid, being more particularly described as
follows, to wit:
Being a tract of land out of the James Drake
Survey,.Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, and
being more particularly described by metes and
bounds as follows:
Beginning at the southwest cornet of Tract 28
Plat D-81 City Tax Assessors Plat Book, Beau-
Mont,
eaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, said point being
in the present north line of Wiess Avenue at a
distance of twenty-nine and fifty-eight hundred-
ths (29.58) feet east of the easterly line of
Texas Avenue.as now established or at a distance
of two hundred sixty-seven (267) feet east of the
easterly line of Grand Avenue as now established;
Thence in a northwesterly direction along the
westerly line of said Tract 281 said line being
parallel with and.twenty-nine and fifty-eight
hundredths (29.58) feet distant -..'from the said
easterly line of Texas Avenue one hundred nine
(109) feet to the.northwest corner of said Tract 28;
Thence in a southwesterly direction along a line
parallel with and one hundred nine (109) feet
distant from the northerly line of Wiess Avenue
twenty-nine and fifty-eight hundredths (29.58)
feet to -corner in the easterly line of said Texas
Avenue;

Thence in a southeasterly direction along the said
easterly line of Texas Avenue one hundred nine "(109)
feet to corner in the northerly line of Wiess
Avenue;
Thence in a northeasterly direction along the said
northerly line of Wiess A enue twenty-nine and
fifty-eight hundredths (2.58) feet to the place
of beginning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on
behalf of -The City of Beaumont, a special warranty deed convey-
ing to Felton W. Richmond and wife, Beatrice Richmond, the
above described property upon receipt of the sum of Three Hundred
and Fifty Dollars ($350.00); and the City Clerk is hereby author-
ized to attest to same and to affix the official seal of The City
of Beaumont thereto.
