Forbiding the parking of automobiles and other vehichles near
fire hydrants prescribing a penalty and declaring an emergency.
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Beaumont.
Section 1.
it shall be unlawful for any person to stop �leave
atanding any automobile oreother vehichles within less -than 72
feet on either side of any fire hydrant in the City and no such
automobile or other vehiehle shall�be stopped or left standing
in front of any such fire hydrants.
Section 2.
Any person violating this Ordinance shall be deemed
guilty od a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof in the
corporation Court shall be fined in any sum not less than $5.00
nor more than $25.00.
Section 3.
There being no Ordinance forbiding persons from leaving
automobiles' and other vehichles near fire hydrants and it being
nece-asary for the safety of the pDoperty of the citizens and the
protection of same from fire that free access to the fire hydrant
inay--be ,.s]v ays had the fire department anik imperative public
necessity exsist for its passage and it is ordered that the rule
requiring Ordinances to be read at three separate meetings be
suspended and that this Ordinance go into effect from and after
its passage.
